Well its turned up my free ipod, :) Only a one gig one but hay it was free :)

Well I say free it cost me £2.99 and a stamp.

God it seems so long ago that I signed up for these crazy things, they may work in the us, but here in the UK the hopes you have to jump thought are just to much for most.

But after a year I have and over 100 signed ups under me, finaly 5 people have completed the offers, and I have been able to claim my Ipod.

Now all I have to do is wait 30 days, and we will see weather one comes up or not. If one ever turns up I will be sure to let you all know.

Dutch Tub

I love the Dutch Tub, Its just one of those products that scream's, you must buy me!

The Dutch tub is basically a hot tub that work's, by starting a fire in the spiral at the side.
This heats the water, connected at the top and the bottom of the tub, the cold water is drawn in the bottom and the hot water flows out the top.

You can even add a barbecue to the fire and cook while your in the tub or waiting for it to heat up.

The tub has a handy Lid to let you super heat it, with a bar area on the side and a bottle holder for your wine what more could you ask for?

It comes in, Light blue, Pigeon blue, Ocean green, Reed green, Dark grey, Tub orange Above, and has to be my fav colour.

Now for the very hard bump back down to earth, the £3,030.50 price tag means that its not exactly cheap, but I am sure its worth every penny.

You Tube

You tube is a great TV web site where you can watch TV as flash movies, Like the internet it has its one big problem of unless you know what you want it can be a little hard to find any thing.

Being one of those people who likes every thing on a plate in front of me, the search can bring up a little to much, but hay its free, so its not like I can complain.

Best of all you can find the new channel 4 show the It crowd on it, So you can watch it in work :).

Chav's! V The Goths, (who would have thought you could find such interesting stuff while searching for porn on google images) Agenda Inc has picked up this great bit, about the Chav's and Goths of Peterborough.

unfortunately it seams the goths are destined to lose these dawn battles, as by there very nature the Goths are allergic to sun light and only come out at night.

When the UK Presidency suggested to the EU that telecoms service providers and ISPs should be forced to retain information about the telephone calls you make and the sites you visit, they stated that it was an essential “balance” struck between liberty and security: a grave compromise necessitated by the threat of terrorism and serious crime.

We don’t remember them mentioning “and might help the recording industry fish for file-sharing networks, DRM workarounds, and spurious patent infringers”.

The newly-formed Creative and Media Business Alliance (CMBA), made up of companies such as Sony BMG, Disney, EMI, IFPI, MPA and Universal Music International, this week expressed an interest in communications traffic data so that they can more easily prosecute “intellectual property infringements”.

Thanks to a combination of two fast-tracked EU directives, they may just get their wish: and allow a UK plan to limit civil liberties to turn into a privacy-invading free-for-all by the entertainment lobby.

Sony’s Web-Based Uninstaller Opens a Big Security Hole; Sony to Recall Discs

Over the weekend a Finnish researcher named Muzzy noticed a potential vulnerability in the web-based uninstaller that Sony offers to users who want to remove the First4Internet XCP copy protection software. We took a detailed look at the software and discovered that it is indeed possible for an attacker to exploit this weakness. For affected users, this represents a far greater security risk than even the original Sony rootkit.

The consequences of the flaw are severe. It allows any web page you visit to download, install, and run any code it likes on your computer. Any web page can seize control of your computer; then it can do anything it likes. That’s about as serious as a security flaw can get.

Right, well what more needs to be said really, sony's fucked up big time. So let them know, dont bother wrighting to them, just dont buy their crap any more they will soon get the message.

McDonald's reaches deal to sell organic coffee in New England

The world's largest fast-food chain announced a deal Thursday with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc., based in Waterbury, to supply Newman's Own Organics Blend of coffee to the more than 650 McDonald's Inc. restaurants in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and in the Albany, N.Y., region.

Could the PS3 really be delayed until 2007?

The PS3 is delayed until 2007, the decision for this came about through the failure of the initial hardware the PS3 Development Team created. Apparently, 300 PS3 Units were created and sent to various software developers to begin creating games for the new system. However, design flaws in the PS3 (Specifically, not enough coolant) caused the systems to overheat and meltdown after moderate
use by the developers.

According to my DM (District Manager), Sony went and fired the entirety of the PS3 Development Team for this flaw. In short, from what I’ve heard, if Sony gained anything from this experience, it’s minor technical knowledge on what the PS3 can handle, but for the most part they were sent to square one.

Smacks of lets hype are new product to me, but what would I know.

Fuel protests 'causing no panic'

Is one of the lead stories,

There are no signs of motorists panic-buying at petrol pumps ahead of planned refinery blockades, fuel retailers have told BBC News.

Except for the fact that in Liverpool, There is mass panic buying, long queues petrol rationing, by retailers, limiting the amount you can buy to £20 and ASDA has sold out of petrol in all of its stations in Liverpool.

Why is the BBC misreporting the news? and so blatantly?

There can only be one answer, they have been asked/told by the goverment to play down the fuel protests to try and weeken public support for them.

All I can say is that I am out raged.

I have already made use of this form to contact the BBC about the accurcey of their reporting, I would ask that you please do the same.

PSP 2 News

Don't update your PSP to 2.0!

Over at the Make Blog, Phillip Torrone warns that the PSP 2.0 is a piece of crippleware that'll prevent you from using any homebrewed mods. Over the next day and week you'll hear about the new PSP 2.0 update from all the usual places, but don't update- really. There are a couple new features, like a web browser, image transfer/wallpaper, some other video and network tweaks -- but it's a yawn. You'll lose all the amazing homebrew playing capability, emulators and cool applications the PSP makers are cranking out -- so don't do it -- it's just not worth it, it removes fun (until the version 2.0 firmware can play homebrew, then it's ok to update).

Saw this on boing boing the other day so thoguth I would point it out, just incase as PSP2's are now starting to ship in the uk.
