How badly do you hate spam?

Turns out that Russians hate it an awful lot, so much so that they killed their top spammer, now if only this would happen more often.
Vardan Kushnir, notorious for sending spam to each and every citizen of Russia who appeared to have an e-mail, was found dead in his Moscow apartment on Sunday, Interfax reported Monday. He died after suffering repeated blows to the head.
Microsoft "Genuine Advantage" cracked in 24h
MICROSOFT'S bid to refuse access to updated versions of Windows has been foiled by hackers. The Vole had demanded that those who wanted Windows updates, other than security improvements, had to download an Active X program that sniffed their operating system to see if their OS had been pirated.
It took about 24 hours for hackers to come up with a solution involving IE script, the hackers claim.
They would. ยต

Thunderhorse

I think some one was drunk at the wheel ;)
The damage wrought be Hurricane Dennis on BP's massive Thunder Horse platform has not yet been undone. Lying 150 miles southeast of New Orleans, Thunder Horse is still listing heavily with the lower deck reaching the sea surface. However reports suggest engineers are confident it is just a ballast problem that won't jeopardize the $1 billion platform.

Adam zombie
" You know those nerdy Cegep kids who run around on the mountain during Tam Tams fighting with duct tape weapons?
We're trying to recruit an army of slow, dumb annoying zombies to go and attack them, just to see what happens. We're meeting for a potluck at 1:00pm, putting on makeup, dirty clothes etc., and then going out to do battle. You're heavily encouraged to prepare some zombie clothes beforehand (rip up some old clothes and smear them with dirt), and bring makeup if you have it. "
the following are illustrations of just how awesomely the whole thing played out..."

Brazil adopts open-source software

The scene is much like any other modern office: an open-plan work space crammed with desks, telephones and computers.
But there's one big difference. The word 'Microsoft' is nowhere in sight.
Instead, computers here now use the Linux operating system. It has many similar functions to Microsoft's Windows - but unlike Windows, it is available for free.
Ofcurse bill has shit is pants and tried to meet with the Brazilian president, but he wont see him, go Brazil!
DUI Defendants Skip Charge By Asking How Test Works

SANFORD - Hundreds of cases involving breath-alcohol tests have been thrown out by Seminole County judges in the past five months because the test's manufacturer will not disclose how the machines work. All four of Seminole County's criminal judges have been using a standard that if a DUI defendant asks for a key piece of information about how the machine works - its software source code, for instance - and the state cannot provide it, the breath test is rejected, the Orlando Sentinel reported Wednesday.
Ok this sound's great now all we need is for some one to try it in the uk.
