Double Guitar

This has to be a really cool but utley usless talent, but then again I can not play one Guitar never mind two at the same time.

One day

I will stop doing this crap.....

Your Birthdate: April 19 Your birth on the 19th day of the month adds a tone of independence and extra energy to your life path.
But at the same time, it poses a number of obstacles to overcome before you are able to be as independent as you would like. The number 1 energy suggests more executive ability and leadership qualities than your path may have indicated.

A birthday on the 19th of any month gives greater will power and self-confidence, and very often a rather original approach. However, a somewhat self-centered approach to life that may be in conflict with some of the other influences in your life.
This 1 energy may diminish your ability and desire to handle details, preferring instead to paint with a broad brush.

You are sensitive, but your feeling stay somewhat repressed.
You have a compelling manner that can be dominating in many situations.
You do not tend to follow convention or take advice very well.

Consequently, you tend to learn through experience; sometimes hard experiences.
The 19/1 is a loner number and you may experience feelings of being alone even if you are married.
You may take on a tendency to be nervous and angry.

Round, Round

After having the crazy idea of driving round the world in my truck, I spent all day on the net looking round for information.

I came up with the three roots show above, the black root goes the "classic" root around the world, this would also be the most hassle free root, as being a UK Citizen The only paper work I would need is business visa for Russia which is easy to get.

The EU and USA/ Canada should be no problem, unless you spend to long there, Ofcourse there would be the usual import export paper work for the truck, but that would be just that paper work as it would not be staying in the USA.

After looking at this map of Russia I came up with this root.

*UK*
Liverpool,
London ,
Dover,

*France*
Callia,
Paris,

*Luxembourg*

*Germany*
Frankfurt,
Leipzig,
Berlin,

*Poland*
Poznan,
Warsaw,

*Belarus*
Brest,
Minsk,
Mahilyow,

*Russia*

Smolensk,
Moscow,
Nizhiny,
Kazan,
Ulfa,
Chelyabinsk,
Kurgan,
Petropavil "Kazakhstan"
Bmsk,
Novosibirsk,
Tomsk,
Kransbyarsk,
Irkutsk,
Ulan Ude,
Chita,

At this point on the map the road runs out, forcing you to go down in to china or get a train to "never" and drive to tynda then go vier Neryungri, Aldan, Yakutsk, Magaden (a large mining port).

Going into china really put me off, I can imagine the paper work, for the "crazy westerners".

I did a bit more digging and found this great site, Practical details on driving through Russia and Mongolia (Feb-2005)

They drove the opposite way from Vladivostok to Southampton, The site has an alternative root following the transiberian railroad.

I have yet to explore ether of the other two roots both of which head down under china, after going past the middle east. One root then goes up and thought Japan and the other goes down thought indonesia and south America.

I think I have final found something to do with one of my domain thingstodobeforeidie.co.uk. Now all I need is some cheap hosting, and more importantly the funds to do it, taking a year or so off work wont be cheap. Never mind the £4000 that would be needed for shipping costs alone.

Rent My Son

I want to rent my own chain smokeing child to do the house work, but i dont live in the USA :(

I hope RentMySon.com is real, the world would be such a better place if it was.

Draw a Pig Personality Test

Toward the top of the paper, you are positive and optimistic.
Toward the middle, you are a realist.
Toward the bottom, you are pessimistic, and have a tendency to behave negatively.

Facing left, you believe in tradition, are friendly, and remember dates (birthdays, etc.)
Facing right, you are innovative and active, but don't have a strong sense of family, nor do you remember dates
Facing front, you are direct, enjoy playing devil's advocate and neither fear nor avoid discussions.

With many details, you are analytical, cautious, and distrustful.
With few details, you are emotional and naive, they care little for details and are a risk-taker.

With less than 4 legs, they are insecure or are living through a period of major change.
With 4 legs showing, they are secure, stubborn, and stick to their ideals.

The size of the ears indicates how good a listener you are.
The bigger the better. You drew small ears, you are an OK listener

The length of the tail indicates the quality of your sex life.
And again more is better! You drew medium sized tail

Now go draw your own pig!

RIAA This

Last week, when Siva and von Lohmann debated the RIAA at Cornell, Siva asked Cary Sherman, "When are you going to sue the president?" It's a great question because everyone knows: a. what Bush's staff did was normal and reasonable and everyone does, b. the RIAA only sues people who can get forced into submission (and debt), but most of all it's a good question because c. it can help people remember how crazy this whole thing is in the first place.

The Number of Fucks In Deadwood

HBO's series Deadwood had a reputation for salty dialogue even before the first episode aired. It was nearly impossible, they said, to keep count of the number of f-words spoken during each program. We took it as a challenge.
Ok So I have never heard of Dead Wood, but they seem to say fuck a LOT!

Who Should You Vote For?

Who should I vote for?

Your expected outcome:

Liberal Democrat

Your actual outcome:

Labour -68

Conservative 23

Liberal Democrat 8

UK Independence Party 32

Green 5

You should vote: UK Independence Party

UKIP's primary focus is on Europe, where the party is strongly against joining both the EU constitution and the Euro. UKIP is also firmly in favour of limiting immigration. The party does not take a clear line on some other policy issues, but supports scrapping university tuition fees; it is strongly against income tax rises and favour reducing fuel duty.

Tiping Facts

1. Two studies show little relationship between quality of waiter service and size of tip.

2. Hotel bellboys can double the size of their tips, on average, by showing guests how the TV and air conditioning work.

3. Tipping is less prevalent in countries where unease about inequality is especially strong.

4. The more a culture values status and prestige, the more likely that culture will use tipping to reward service.

I hate tipping, I think in this day and age we should just pay people propley rather than guilting others into doing it.

Cameras Increase Fatal Rear End Accidents

Although three studies have shown a significant increase in rear-end collisions where red light cameras are used, cities using the devices are quick to dismiss such findings. Camera proponents maintain that such collisions are far less severe than angle collisions. This December 2003 study commissioned by Ontario, Canada's Ministry of Transporation shows that those rear-end collisions can be fatal. (Other studies drawing similar conclusions: Virginia, North Carolina, Australia.)

After evaluating the performance of red light cameras at 68 sites over two years, the report concluded that jurisdictions using photo enforcement experienced an overall increase in property damage accidents of 18.5 percent coupled with a 4.9 percent increase in fatal and injury rear-end collisions. Rear-end collisions involving property damage alone jumped 49.9 percent.
Now if only someone could prove that speed cameras where bad for your health.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

This review is based on a substantially complete version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy shown to a small group of journalists in London on 31st March 2005, to which I was invited by Buena Vista International and Digital Outlook.

The generosity of these companies in paying for my travel to this screening is gratefully acknowledged. The opinions expressed here are the personal critical opinions of myself, author and journalist MJ Simpson.

This review is based on a single viewing of the film; if any factual details have been misremembered, I am happy to amend those portions of the text.

If you believe this review, then its one to stay away from, sort of disappointing really.

How Big?

Human beings have been getting remarkably fat since prehistoric times (to judge by such artifacts as the celebrated Venus of Willendorf), and accurate weighing is mostly a twentieth-century phenomenon, so the heaviest man or woman ever must always remain a matter of conjecture. Every age and culture has a tale of some remarkable heavyweight, but how much these Paul Bunyans of bulk have grown in the telling is impossible to say. A few such stories have come down to us from classical times. The Roman physician Galen, writing in the first century, cites the case of one Nichomachus of Smyrna, who was so heavy that he could neither move nor be moved from his bed. Other authors tell of a Roman senator who was able to walk only when two slaves carried his belly for him, and of a latter-day Egyptian pharaoh whose belly was broader than the span of a man's outstretched arms.

You can read the sad stories of the 10 World's Heaviest People, Most of whom have been exploited by other people, with the promise of getting help. Only to have people like jerry Springer do nothing after making his money.
